Job Purpose:
To take an active and leading role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitative care of patients within the relevant speciality, to maximise functional independence and improve quality of life. The role also contributes to clinical supervision, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
- Independently assess and evaluate patients using appropriate clinical techniques and assessment tools.
- Develop functional diagnoses, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals based on patient need
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation procedures within the scope of practice and professional competency.
Case Management
- Manage a caseload of complex patients efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure all clinical decisions consider appropriate indications, contraindications, and patient safety requirements
- Deliver evidence-based care that supports optimal rehabilitation outcomes
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and professional standards
- Complete the required statistical reports and activity record
- Prepare patient progress reports, medical necessity letters, and other clinical documentation when required
Communication & Collaboration
- Liaise effectively with referring physicians, multidisciplinary teams, patients, and caregivers
- Act as a clinical resource and provide professional guidance within the speciality
- Promote collaborative working practices to enhance patient care and rehabilitation outcomes

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant Therapy Discipline from an accredited institution
- Professional licensure/registration as required by local regulatory authorities
- Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in the speciality area.
